The E Plaza hotel is located in the port city of Gibara, on the north coast of Holguín. The facility occupies an old family home from the colonial period, considered one of the buildings with the greatest heritage value in the territory thanks to the conservation of its Hispanic-Mudejar style. Originally it was the residence of one of the most prominent families of Gibara and Holguín, the Urquiola family. It maintains a decoration with elements that recall the environment, the customs of the fishermen and their boats, the bay and the natural landscapes of the town. This installation is dedicated to honoring the outstanding musician Manuel Galván, born in Gibara, who was a member and first director of the group Los Zafiros and later a member of the Buena Vista Social Club.
